Liam Neeson Early Life
On June 7, 1952, in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, Liam Neeson was born. Bernard and Kathrine Neeson are his parents. Neeson was named after a clergyman in his hometown.
Neeson began taking boxing training at the All Saints youth Club when he was 9 years old, and by the time he was 14, he had won the Ulster amateur senior boxing championship. At age 11, he first performed in school plays.

When Neeson finished college, he moved back to his hometown of Ballymena and performed odd jobs including operating a forklift and driving a truck. In 1976, Neeson began performing with the Lyric Players Theatre Company in Belfast, where he stayed for two years.
