In an effort to save future generations of people from going blind, the Foundation Fighting Blindness is sponsoring a concert series called Sound of Sight.
The foundation was established in 1971 and has since become the largest private funder of research into retinal diseases,
resulting in the discovery of over 270 genes associated with these conditions and the initiation of over 40 clinical trials to test potential treatments.
On Saturday, October 8 at 6 p.m. CST, the series will launch at Nashville’s City Winery.
Ben Folds, singer, pianist, and the Kennedy Center’s first-ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra, will perform with the orchestra on October 8.
