Brandon Copeland Early LifeĀ 

On July 2, 1991, in the town of Sykesville, Maryland, Brandon Copeland entered the world. His background, including his parents and childhood, is mostly unknown. His father’s identity remains unknown, but his mother’s name, Angela Hilton Copeland, is public knowledge. Roy Hilton, his grandfather, played football professionally for the Baltimore Colts.

When Brandon was done with his schooling he attended Gilman. Since his elementary school years, he has been a rather active athlete. Brandon was a very involved athlete, participating in a variety of sports including basketball, football, and track. In his final year of high school, he was elected captain of the squad. Furthermore, Brandon qualified for the 2006 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association. Academic All-State Team in 2008.

After finishing up at the local high school, he enrolled at Penn. In 2012, he led his school’s squad to an Ivy League title. After that, he went to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and got a Bachelor of Science in economics at the graduate level.

In April of 2013, Copeland was signed by the Baltimore Ravens and thus began his professional football career. The Ravens released him on August 31, 2013, after he had been a member of the team for four months. Tennessee Titans signed him to their practice squad in October of 2013. He was cut from the Titans’ practice squad on November 5th, 2013, however, he was re-signed by the team on November 12th, 2013. He inked a deal with the Titans for the foreseeable future in December of 2013.

Brandon joined the professional football team the Detroit Lions on April 7, 2015, signing a one-year contract. After competing at the NFL Veterans Combine, he was offered a contract by the Titans and signed as one of the combine’s winners. He was sidelined for the year after tearing his pectoral muscle in the first preseason game of 2017. He was signed by the New York Jets in March of 2018 and appeared in 16 games for them.

On March 25, 2019, the Jets re-signed Copeland. Nonetheless, the league’s rules on PEDs resulted in a four-game suspension for him to start the 2019 season. His suspension was lifted in October of 2019. Before Week 6, Brandon was put into active duty and began making appearances. At Week 9’s Miami Dolphins game, he had a career-high nine tackles. On March 25th, 2020, the New England Patriots signed Brandon. On the other hand, he went down with a torn pectoral muscle in Week 7 and is currently on the injured reserve list.
