He then attended the University of Redlands for two years after high school and eventually transferred to Northwestern University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1964. David received his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Yale Law School in 1966 and his Master of Laws degree with honors from New York University School of Law the following year. Boies was awarded an honorary doctorate in law by the University of Redlands in the year 2000.
