Demi Lovato Concert: Nita Strauss Performs With Demi Lovato

Nita Strauss, formerly of ALICE COOPER on guitar, appeared alongside Demi Lovato on “Good Morning America” on August 19 as part of the Summer Concert Series in Central Park. The appearance is captured on camera, which you can view below.

Lovato and Strauss have appeared twice on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” this week. They performed two new songs by Demi, “29” and “Substance,” both of which precede her new album, “Holy Fvck,” which is now out on Island Records.

During her three-night “Fallon” takeover, Demi also served as co-host on August 17 and participated in the monologue and guest interviews, as well as performed live.

On August 13 at the Illinois State Fair’s Grandstand in Springfield, Illinois, Nita performed her first complete live show with Demi.

On the July 14 episode of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Nita and Demi performed “Substance” live for the first time. The show has won multiple Emmy Awards.

The rumor of Nita’s new job appeared on the Metal Sludge website on July 11.

Released as a follow-up to 2017’s “Dancing With the Devil…The Art of Starting Over,” “Holy Fvck” apparently includes a more punk-rock infused sound than Lovato’s usual pop aesthetic.

After posting a photo in January with the caption “A funeral for my pop music,” Lovato hinted that “Holy Fvck” will herald a new era for her. Later, she told Rolling Stone that her new music will have more “heaviness.”

“This new age reminds me of my first,” she remarked. “Every day, I learn and adapt. Every time I release an album, I tell myself that this will be the beginning of a new period in my music.”

Demi will be taking the record on the road this fall for fans in South America and North America on the “Holy Fvck” tour.

In addition to performing new material from the album, Lovato will also perform rock covers of some of her most popular songs, such as “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Cool for the Summer,” and others.

The first stop on the 32-city tour, which was produced by Live Nation and began at the Illinois State Fair this past Saturday, was in Milwaukee.

After making stops in Wheatland, California at the Hard Rock Live Sacramento on Thursday, September 22, the tour will proceed to South America with visits to Belo Horizonte, Bogotá, and other cities.

The North American portion of the tour begins on October 31 and ends on November 6 in Irving, Texas at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. Other cities on the itinerary include New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Nashville, and more.

On a handful of their North American shows, ROYAL & THE SERPENT will be joined by DEAD SARA as special guests.

Nita confirmed on July 11 that she would not be participating in Cooper’s upcoming fall 2022 tour. She has also canceled the remaining festival appearances for her solo band this year.

The 35-year-old singer/songwriter stated that she is “on a flight straight into the next adventure” and that her “touring year” is “still VERY packed” in a statement, while also dropping hints that she will “be on stage again much sooner than you think.”

Cooper bandmates Nita and Ryan Roxie responded to the tweet, with Roxie saying, “No words — just notes… and lord knows we harmonized a lot of them through the years… nothing but love and respect.”

In the words of drummer Glen Sobel: “You are a seasoned pro who can adapt to any circumstance. We’ll miss you, but it’s an honor to have you in our Hurricane family.”

The Australian musician and former Michael Jackson player Orianthi were replaced by Strauss in 2014. She was just in time to tag along with Alice on a massive MTLEY CRÜE tour. Cooper met her because WINGER vocalist and former bass player Kip Winger suggested her to him.

Nita released her first solo music since 2018’s “Controlled Chaos” in October with the song “Dead Inside.” David Draiman, a lead singer of the Grammy-nominated rock band DISTURBED, is her first vocal collaborator ever.

To the delight of fans and critics alike, Nita published “Controlled Chaos,” which has been hailed as “a terrific debut that as its creator intended leaves no doubt” by Metal Injection and “a panoramic view of Nita Strauss’s various strengths” by Guitar World.

Nita has played with a wide variety of artists, including Cooper, Jermaine Jackson (of R&B fame), the band FEMME FATALE, and the supergroup CRITICAL HIT, and the wildly popular tribute band THE IRON MAIDENS.
