In a tragic accident on the 14th floor of a building, 54-year-old Peruvian actor Diego Bertie died.
Bertie was rushed to the Casimiro Ulloa Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Firefighters’ general commander Mario Casaretto has confirmed that a fire erupted at around 4 a.m.
As a result of his enduring popularity amongst his many admirers, friends, and associates, the actor passed away peacefully, surrounded by those he cared about.

Exitosa learned of Bertie’s death from Mario Casaretto. Latina, the country’s most popular television network, confirmed that Bertie had died after falling from a 14th-floor Miraflores building.

The following is what the Peruvian Ministry of Culture had to say about the development on Twitter:
Diego Bertie, a well-known actor, and singer in film, television, and theatre, died today, and we are devastated by his passing. His family and friends have our deepest condolences from the Ministry of Culture.”
Musician Bertie was born on November 2, 1967, and went on to have a successful acting career as well. TV series such as Vale Todo (2001), La Ex (2006, 2007), and De Vuelta Al Barrio (2008-2009) have all featured him (2017).
In addition to his film roles, the actor was well-known for his stage performances, including those as Leonardo in Bodas de Sangre and Segismuno in La Vida es Sueno.
Bertie’s film credits include Sin Compasión (1994), Ultra Warrior (1990), Los Andes No Creen en Dios (2005), and Esto huele mal.
In the mid-eighties, he also tried his hand at singing. Imágenes was his band name when he was in high school.
Many fans took to Twitter after the news of Bertie’s death and discussed his life and career.
These people shared photos of the actor, sent their condolences to the actor’s family, and mourned him.
