The Paramount+ release of Fatal Attraction arrives. The TV show is based on the 1980s film and centers on Daniel Gallagher, who has spent the previous 15 years in j@il for the mu*der of his mistress, Alexandra Forrest.
Even though the streaming original doesn’t take place in the same period as the movie it’s building on, the two have a similar tone in their aesthetic choices. In this version of events, Dan and Alex’s romance blooms in the decade’s latter years.
Dan can’t help but get swept up in his feelings for her, and despite the limited duration of their fling, sparks fly between them. He upsets his family and daughter’s world by shattering the life he had made with his wife, Beth. Dan has been paroled and is eager to reconcile with his family and prove his innocence of the cr!me for which he was convicted.
Therefore, the story jumps back and forth between the aff@ir and the current day. This differs from the movie in that it is a thriller, not a whodunit. Want to catch the broadcast? The episode count and airing schedule are shown below!
