In San Antonio, Whitley went to Alamo Heights High School. He won the World Cup as a member of the 18U National Team the summer before his senior year. [1] In his senior year of high school, Whitley struck out 14 batters while throwing a no-hitter.
Professional Career
In the 2016 Major League Baseball draught, the Houston Astros picked Whitley with the seventeenth overall pick. [4] He had a baseball scholarship offer to play college ball at Florida State University, but he ultimately elected to join the Astros. On July 13, 2016.
