Heartbeat Music Festival: This is The Festival Fifth Year This Time Around They Are Adding New Components

The Riverfront Plaza in downtown Hartford was the site of day two of the free, multi-genre music festival that took place this past weekend.

This weekend, hundreds of people flocked to the Hartbeat Music Festival to enjoy the array of local musical talent, dozens of vendors, and delicious cuisine.

So, we have a wide variety of styles, and many of our musicians also compose their own songs. That means they’re not only limiting themselves to covering other artists on CDs. “It’s great for them to be able to perform their own music,” said Bridget Cooke, Director of Events for Riverfront Recapture.

“It’s a blessing to be able to perform outside again in front of a sold-out crowd without any restrictions,” stated artist Antonio Kershaw.

This year marks the fifth annual festival. Changes, such as a stage at the plaza’s bottom level, are being made this time around.

The purpose of the gathering is to make people feel at home regardless of their cultural or social background.

All the tunes are fantastic, and the cuisine is delicious. Thomas, a Bristol resident, suggested you go. Visit TheActiveNews.Com for the latest news and commentary.
