The film I Am Number Four is based on the novel of the same name which is a part of the Lorien Legacies’ young adult science fiction Novels. The film was produced by Michael Bay, it was the first film produced by Dreamworks Pictures which was later released by TouchStone Pictures.
The story and plot of I am Number Four
To tell this story, we must look at John Smith’s life as a space alien from the planet Lorien. To flee the invading Mogadorians responsible for the destruction of Lorien, he was sent to Earth with eight others. The 8 people sent with John Smith are called Garde. On earth, John has the protection of their guardian (called the Pecan) Henri. John has developed powers, enhanced strength, speed, and agility.
The mogadorians come to know about the Grade’s travel to earth and follow them to kill them. It’s too late for three of the classes already. The Mogadorians’ next target is likely to be John Smith, who is the number four.
Henri and John move from a beachside bungalow to an old farm in paradise after learning about the Mogadorians.

I Am Number Four 2 Everything you need to know
As of now, there is no news about the I Am Four-Number sequel. Back in 2011, the screenwriter had told collider.com that the sequel was planned immediately. But the first movie received a very disappointing performance at the box office. When it opened on February 18th, 2011, in IMAX and conventional theatres, it received overwhelmingly negative reviews and only made $150 million domestically.
The sequel to the film is rumored to have been scrapped because of its underwhelming box office performance. There has been no word on an I Am Number Four sequel as of yet. But the story in the sequel has ended midway and the sequel will likely be produced in the coming years.
