Ime Udoka Early Life
Oregon is the location of Ime Udoka’s birth on August 9th, 1977. Vitalis Udoka, his father, had him. Due to his father’s ancestry, he was able to apply for and receive Nigerian citizenship. Udoka’s mother was American, however, she passed away in late 2011. Mfon Sunday Udoka is Ime’s sister.

Ime Udoka Career
Udoka’s professional basketball career kicked off when the Charleston Lowgators picked him in the 2002 NBDL Draft. The Los Angeles Lakers summoned him up to the big leagues in January of 2004. Though he initially made the squad, he was eventually cut. After that, he played in Europe for a short while. However, he eventually returned to the United States and was drafted once more into the NBDL. In the second round of the NBDL Draft, Udoka was selected third overall by the Fort Worth Flyers.
Each time Udoka played for the Fort Worth Flyers, he scored 17.1 points and grabbed 6.2 rebounds. He spent a year with the Flyers before being signed by the Knicks in April of 2006. After spending time on the court with the Knicks, he was eventually waived on September 11, 2006.
Udoka made 12 appearances in NBA games throughout his professional career. He started 75 games in 2006–07, scoring 8.4 points on average with 0.9 steals and 3.7 boards per game. The following year, in 2007, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs. He saw action in 73 contests while with the Spurs. After that, in his second year with the Spurs, he appeared in 67 games.
