A stampede at the Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar, Rajasthan, killed at least three persons. The event was reported in the early hours of Monday morning, according to the details.
At approximately 5 a.m. this morning, a stampede-like incident occurred at the gate of the Khatu Shyam temple, according to reports.
While three people were killed, several others were hurt in the ensuing stampede of pilgrims.
Two of the injured had to be transported to a hospital in Jaipur for medical attention and treatment.
After getting word of the occurrence, a police response squad quickly arrived on the scene.

PM Narendra Modi remarked on Twitter: “In Sikar, Rajasthan, a stampede has claimed several lives at the Khatu Shyamji Temple complex. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving families. Those who have been hurt are in my thoughts and prayers.”
The temple of Khatushyamji is right in the center of town. Jagmohan is the name given to a large hall of worship in the complex.
