On June 7, 1952, in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, Liam Neeson entered the world. Having been born to Kathrine and Bernard Neeson, Neeson is their son. According to legend, a local priest was the inspiration for Neeson’s first name.
Neeson took up boxing at the All Saints youth Club when he was nine years old, and by the time he was fourteen, he had already won the Ulster amateur senior boxing championship. Since he was 11 years old, he has been acting in school productions.
