Pokémon Trading Card Game players may be wondering, with Generation 9 due out this Fall, when the TCG will have its first cards featuring Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Game Freak revealed the release date for Generation 9 in the second gameplayer trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which aired in June.
When will the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trading Card Game be released? The new generation is about to be released, which raises the question of if the TCG will be released.
Pokémon Sword and Shield have seen ten mainline expansions & special sets since the release of the Astral Radiance TCG set in May.
Lost Origin, the next set in the Sword and Shield TCG series, will be released on September 9, 2022, following the release of the Pokémon Take TCG crossover in July.
Pokémon Platinum’s “Lost Zone” mechanic will be resurrected in the new Pokémon Lost Origin TCG expansion, which debuts the Sinnoh Legendary Giratina VSTAR card.
Other than Lost Origin, no other TCG releases have been announced for the remainder of the year. Every three months or so, new Pokémon card expansions are released.
The release of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet coincides with Lost Origin’s three-month anniversary, leading many fans to speculate about the availability of Gen 9 Pokémon cards sooner than expected.
The first Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Trading Card Game cards are expected to be released in the following order.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG Release Date
The first Pokémon Sword & Shield TCG set was released in 2019, three months after the Galar region RPGs first appeared on the Nintendo Switch.
The Pokémon Company has followed a similar release cycle in the past, with the worldwide launch of a new TCG series taking place the year after the previous year.
Even though Pokémon Sun and Moon were released in November 2016, they didn’t receive their first expansion in the TCG until February of the following year.
The Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG series is expected to be released in early February 2023, based on previous launch cycles.
As far as I know, this is the only time that the Pokémon TCG has deviated from this release schedule since March 2011.
The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet TCG will be released in Japan first in December 2022 if The Pokémon Company follows its previous release schedule.
As a result, some gamers believe the TCG may be aiming for its first simultaneous worldwide launch in December with the release of the Lost Origin expansion in September.
If the release date of Lost Origin is correct, it should have come out in August as PokéBeach says it should.
To avoid the August Pokémon World Championships, it’s more likely that the release date of the set was moved up a month.
As a result, those hoping to get their hands on Scarlet and Violet, the adorable starters from Generation 9, will have to wait until the beginning of 2023. Visit TheActiveNews.com for more updates and the latest news. In regards, you can leave a comment in the box below.
