Years later, Sinead talked openly about her experiences with CPTSD. She has complex post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the events she experienced as a child.

When discussing her battles with su*cide thoughts and her difficult relationship with her family in 2017, Sinead revealed that she used to cry frequently. Soon after, she appeared on Dr. Phil’s talk show to discuss her mental health issues. She said, “I love my family and I don’t blame them. It’s not easy for families of mentally ill people. We can be difficult.” She also remarked, “I don’t blame them.”
