ABC has a new “procedural” night if you hadn’t heard. The broadcast network’s Tuesday prime-time schedule is now dominated by The Rookie, The Rookie: Feds, and the network’s newest show, Will Trent.
The TV show Will Trent, based on the books by Karin Slaughter that have been bestsellers on The New York Times Best Seller List, stars Ramón Rodrguez as an exceptionally talented FBI special agent who utilizes his own special brand of investigative work to solve cases and catch criminals.

Who Plays Will Trent
Ramón Rodríguez as Will Trent
For the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Will Trent is a peculiar special agent (GBI). He is considered one of the top investigators because of the original way he approaches solving crimes. Given that he insists on always having things his way, he isn’t exactly the most well-liked agent in the field.
Will isn’t exactly the most outgoing person you’d meet. Despite this, he does not care about popularity so much as he cares about ensuring that no victim or their loved ones experience abandonment as he did as a child in the Atlanta foster care system. Erika Christensen as Angie
Angie’s role is that of a best friend for Will. Will and Angie had been friends since they were children, so she must have been able to break through his tough shell. However, there have been times throughout the years when their friendship has blossomed into a passion. Though she is a capable detective in her own right, her shaky hold on sobriety could be a career-limiting factor.
Lantha Richardson as Faith
Will’s reluctant partner is Faith. She acknowledges his wit but isn’t always impressed by his methods of investigation. While on the job, she doesn’t waste time with unnecessary chatter, instead leaning on her extensive background and familiarity with Atlanta.
Faith, played by Iantha Richardson, is a character in the drama. Richardson’s breakout performance came as Tess, now an adult, on the critically acclaimed series This Is Us. Jake McLaughlin as Michael
Michael is the type of straight-laced, by-the-books law enforcement agency that every police procedural needs. He has served in the military before, and now it seems that his motivation to defend and serve comes from a sense of civic responsibility rather than military training. On the whole, he is the antithesis of Will.

‘Will Trent’ Season 1 Episode 3
Amanda’s final decision at the end of episode 2 was to maintain Will and Faith’s working relationship. Episode 3 is titled “Don’t Let It Happen Again,” and it will run tonight, January 17th, at 10 p.m. ET, giving viewers another chance to see them back together. Will and Faith are still learning how to cooperate, so tensions will remain.
