Princess Eugenie has announced her pregnancy. Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter is pregnant, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace. The couple already has a son, August Philip Hawke, born in February 2021; this new addition will be their second child.
The announcement from the palace read:
“August Philip Hawke is eagerly anticipating becoming a big brother and Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are happy to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer.”
Modernly, Princess Eugenie made the announcement on Instagram. She displayed a photograph that Jack had taken of August embracing his mom and wrapping his arms around her legs.
Eugenie posted the cute photo with the caption, “We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.”

The new addition will be the thirteenth in line to become King or Queen of the United Kingdom. On February 20, 2021, Princess Eugenie revealed approachable and contemporary photos of her newborn boy on Instagram. They posted their first family photo, saying, “Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express.”
Jack and Princess Eugenie hit the slopes of Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010. During the couple’s engagement interview, Jack agreed with Eugenie that “love at first sight” described their relationship. In January 2018, Jack proposed to Princess Eugenie while vacationing in Nicaragua.
The Royal has stated that:
“The water was really lovely. Even though we had been together for seven years, the light was really a special light I had never seen and I genuinely said, This is an incredible moment before he proposed. I was quite happy.”
The ceremony occurred in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12, 2018.
