Who is Bishop Briggs?
On July 18, 1992, Sarah entered the world in London. Because of her birth, she became known as “Bishop Briggs.” Her parents witnessed her talent when she was four years old, shortly after the family relocated to Tokyo.
When she was seven, she began performing her original songs for her loved ones. There, she attended classes until she turned eighteen. She takes part in the school’s talent shows. After finishing her master’s degree at Hong Kong International School, she was welcomed by the Musician Institute in Los Angeles.
She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a songwriting career, and in 2015 she released her debut single, “Wild Horses.” But after being featured on Shazam, her popularity took off. After her song appeared in an Acura commercial, it became a worldwide hit. Even on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, it made the top 30.
Her 2016 follow-up single, “River,” was just as successful. Her third release was a song named “The Way I Do.” She was Kaleo’s opening act and Coldplay’s headliner on their tour. She made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2016.
After the success of “Pray” in 2014, she is returning with “Be Your Love.” Both Coachella and the Panorama Festival hosted Bishop performances in 2017. Her comeback to the music world is marked by including “Mercy” on the xXx: Return of Xander Cage soundtrack.
Church of Scars, her debut album, was released in 2018. Her upcoming album, Champion, was released in the fall of 2019.
