On May 9, Kellie Pickler’s su!cide was confirmed by a Davidson County Medical Examiner’s Office employee, who said that her husband had taken his own life on February 17.
Even though Jacobs had a history of pseudoseizures, GI bleeding, high liver enzymes, and chronic booze abuse, there were no d*ugs in his system when he p@ssed away.
Kellie Pickler, a former contestant on American Idol, called the police to their Tennessee home on February 17 after she awoke and couldn’t find her husband. While looking for Jacobs, Pickler and her assistant tried to enter a bedroom/office on the second level but were unsuccessful.
In 2011, Pickler and the singer-songwriter secretly tied the knot in the Caribbean. CMT’s reality show I Love Kellie Pickler, which ran from 2015 to 2017, followed the Nashville couple wherever they traveled. In 2017 Jacobs stated:
“We just do everything we can just to be real, We love laughing through life. We love to do that, and that’s what the show is. Our show is love and laughter.”
Despite the fact that many members of the country music community have spoken out since her husband’s de@th, Pickler has remained silent. On February 22, Lee Brice thanked Jacobs for his help on “Save the Roses” by calling him “one of the best people anyone could ever hope to have in their corner.”
