R6 New Season Release Date

On August 29, 2023, R6 Operation Heavy Mettle will be available in Rainbow Six Siege. The new Attack Operator Ram, a new commendation system, and several gameplay updates are all introduced in this to Operation Dread Factor.

Rainbow Six Tracker posted an official tweet which you can see here.

R6 New Season Operator Ram

Ram, a South Korean Operator, will be joining Rainbow Six Siege Operation Heavy Mettle. She is a Redhammer squad member and a 3 Health 1 Speed Operator. This indicates that, to put it mildly, she is capable of obliterating a sizable number of objects on the map. Her device, the BU-GI Auto-Breacher, has the power to damage soft floors, walls, and other objects. This covers weapons, shields, and other defense mechanisms.

The BU-GI Auto-Breacher won’t stop once it’s started operating. If it doesn’t hit something it can’t destroy, like a hard wall, or is destroyed, it will keep moving. Impact grenades, C4, or shooting the red container at the back of the BU-GI Auto-Breacher are several ways that defenders might end the machine. This immediately puts an end to the destructive streak of the BU-GI Auto-Breacher.

Players can choose between the R4C assault rifle for precise attacks and the LMG-E light machine gun to pelt the opposition with bullets. Players have the choice between the ITA 12S shotgun and the MK1 9mm pistol as backup weapons for soft wall destruction and precise kills. Ram can also use the Hard Breach Charge and the Stun Grenade.

Operator Updates For The R6 New Season

Some operators will also receive updates as a result of this procedure. Particularly, upgrades for Grim, Fuze, and Frost’s technology will be made available.

Grim’s Kawan Hive Launcher now offers two types of projectiles: sticky projectiles that adhere to the first surface they contact and a bounce option that causes the projectiles to bounce once before exploding. This makes Grim an even more appealing choice for Attack, especially in combination with the numerous boosts he received in Operation Dread Factor.

On the other side, Fuze’s Fuze charges got a buff. Players can now configure their cluster charges on both Osa’s Talon-8 shields and deployable shields. Fuze will have more chances to use his cluster charge as a result.

Finally, there will be a big modification to Frost’s Welcome Mats. Players can now escape the Welcome Mats on their own, which will happen later in the season. There is a caveat to this, though. Players who make it through the Welcome Mat will suffer severe injuries.

The player will walk more slowly, make more noise, and leave a blood trail that is quite obvious, therefore it appears that this is a new status condition. Although this issue eventually goes away, it is still something to be aware of.

Other News On Operation Heavy Mettle

In this operation, shotguns will get an update in the form of numerous adjustments. Projectile spread, damage, range, and headshot modifiers fall under this category. The goal of this upgrade is to improve their reliability and consistency.

Hip-firing shotguns while moving will also allow players to punch larger holes in soft walls. However, it is understandable that slug shotguns like the TCSG12, ACS12, and BOSG will not be impacted by this update.

Additionally, Quick Match is undergoing changes, particularly during setup and the initial few seconds of each round. A few fundamental walls will already be strengthened as a round begins, and a few rotation holes will already be open. The Defenders now have more time to strengthen their other fortifications, including barbed wire, technology, and other means. They now have some spawn-peeking defense on the Attacker’s side.

Finally, players now have a Free Camera option in the spectator mode of Match Replay, providing them more flexibility over the viewing angles they want to use.
