Baseball player Rowdy Tellez was born on March 16, 1995, in the United States. In the 30th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, the Blue Jays selected him. At the time of the draft, Tellez was listed as Baseball America’s 59th best player. However, due to his acceptance of a scholarship from the University of Southern California, he was not chosen for many rounds. He received a $850,000 signing bonus from the Blue Jays.
Milwaukee Brewers just made a number of roster changes that included placing the baseball player on the injured list. Continue reading this article to learn more about the reasons why it was done.
Rowdy Tellez Placed on Injured List by Milwaukee Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers designated infielder Mike Brosseau for assignment and placed struggling first baseman Rowdy Tellez on the injured list in a flurry of roster changes.
The Brewers also brought up pitchers Tyson Miller and J.C. Mejia and reinstated infielder Brian Anderson from the paternity list. They also released pitcher Thomas Pannone and optioned pitchers JB Bukauskas and Clayton Andrews to Class AAA Nashville.
The decision to put Tellez on the IL while having irritation in his right forearm was the most notable. In a slump that is unquestionably the worst of his career, Tellez has gone 128 plate appearances without hitting a home run, has just four extra-base hits, and has an OPS of .410.

Tellez has been experiencing discomfort for some time, but he was still able to play. The Brewers decided the moment was perfect to place Tellez on the IL because the all-star break was drawing near and he was having trouble.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell noted that the symptoms have become slightly worse and more frequent. Tellez has been coping with and controlling it. Tellez experienced pain most frequently during check swings, though occasionally as well. Tellez also refused to blame his bad performance on the injury.
Tellez and the Brewers anticipate that he will miss a minimum of 10 days.

The Brewers decided to part ways with Brosseau, who was a crucial component of the lineup both last season and early this year before struggling with Nashville after a demotion in June in order to free up a 40-man roster slot for Mejia.
With the Sounds, Brosseau was only batting .188 with a.607 OPS in 64 plate appearances. Brosseau has 10 home runs and a.726 OPS in 98 games for the Brewers.
In a continuous effort to keep a lately overworked bullpen fresh, Bukauskas and Andrews were both returned to Nashville. Since being recalled on Saturday, they have each made two appearances—the first ones in Milwaukee uniforms.
Mejia played in two games for the Brewers during the previous campaign before receiving an 80-game suspension for using the illegal performance-enhancing dr*g Stanazolol. The right-hander had a minor-league contract with the Brewers offseason and pitched at Triple-A for 30 13 innings with an ERA of 3.86 before being chosen for a contract.
